Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to 15 people you like and include me. (I don't even know 15 that would do this - so do it if you want to.) You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "my life according to (band name)."
I think I'll do some quote-yness too :p
Are you a male or female:
She's A Handsome Woman
Innocence / Sunk the glow and drowned in covers / Send for all your absent lovers things
Describe yourself:
Mad As Rabbits
He took the days for pageant / Became as mad as rabbits / With bushels of bad habits / And who could ask for anymore? / Yeah who could have more?
How do you feel:
I Constantly Thank God For Esteban
And I for one can see no blood from the hearts and the wrists you allegedly slit / And I for one wont stand for this if this scene were a parish you'd all be condemned.
Describe where you currently live:
From A Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins
Go spin circles for me / Wound relentlessly / Around the words we used to sling / Oh, such torturous things / Always chewing up the only ones / I ever mean
If you could go anywhere, where would you go:
Behind The Sea
Don't you know / That those watermelon smiles / Just can't ripen underwater
Your favorite form of transportation:
Time To Dance
Give me envy, give me malice, give me a-a-attention / Give me envy, give me malice, baby, give me a break! / When I say "Shotgun", you say "Wedding" / "Shotgun", "Wedding", "Shotgun", "Wedding"
Your best friends are:
I Have Friends In Holy Spaces
Take a chance, take your shoes off, dance in the rain / Yea we're splashing around and the news spread all over town / I'm not complaining that it's raining, I'm just saying that I'd like it a lot
You and your best friends:
She Had The World
I, I know why / Because when I look in her eyes / I just see the sky / When I look in her eyes / Well I, just see the sky
What's the weather like:
Northern Downpour
Hey moon, please forget to fall down / Hey moon, don't you go down / Sugarcane in the easy mornin' / Weathervanes my one and lonely
If your life was a TV show, what would it be called:
Build God, Then We'll Talk
There are no raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses. / It's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses / At the shade of the sheets and before all the stains / And a few more of your least favorite things.
What is life to you:
I Write Sins Not Tragedies
I'd chime in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing a goddamn door?!" / No, it's much better to face these kinds of things / With a sense of poise and rationality.
last relationship:
That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)
I want to go where everyone goes, / I want to know what everyone knows, / I want to go where everyone feels the same.
Your fear:
Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch his skin. / I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck / Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me / Girl I was it, look past the sweat, a better love deserving of / Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat?
is the best advice you have to give:
But It's Better If You Do
And isn't this exactly where you'd like me / I'm exactly where you'd like me, you know / Praying for love in a lap dance and paying in naivety
for the Day:
Nine In The Afternoon
And you know that you feel it too / 'Cause it's nine in the afternoon / And your eyes are the size of the moon / You could 'cause you can so you do / We're feeling so good / just the way that we do / When it's nine in the afternoon
I would like to die:
The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage
Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen / Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention / I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives
soul's present condition:
Do You Know What I'm Seeing?
I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather, / And it never gave a damn about me. / I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather, / And it never gave a damn about me. / No, it never gave a damn about me.
My motto:
There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet
I'm the new cancer, never looked better, you can't stand it. / Because you say so under your breath. / You're reading lips "When did he get all confident?" / Haven't you heard that I'm the new cancer? / Never looked better, and you can't stand it

So, I totally noticed that I haven't posted anything since April. But I DID change my theme again! XD
My bad.
Oh well. I should post more often (how many times have I said that before?) There are actually things going on in my life, for a change.
But we'll talk later. :p

1. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
2. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each fandom
3. When guessed, bold the fandom, put in brackets who got it and a sentence why you like the character/person.
1. Sailor Moon (Striker) - Ami/Sailor Mercury - I like Ami because she reminds me the most of myself; other people think she's a stuck up show off because she's smart, but she's really just shy and sweet.
2. Harry Potter (Bonus points to whoever can guess my favorite non-canon couple!) (Striker) Luna "Loony" Lovegood - Luna is just a GREAT character, she's so different from any of the other characters and she doesn't seem to care that everybody else thinks she's crazy. :) - - This one has two. :p Plus you still have a chance to guess my favorite non-canon couple.
3. Belgariad/Mallorean (Striker) Silk - His questionable moral stances often appeal to me; he's an amusing character in a story that's often very "heavy" which is also appreciated.
4. Sonic the Hedgehog (Frosty) Tails - One simple reason: he's fluffy and adorable! XD This one has another character and, as a hint, the 2nd favorite comes from the Archie Comics/SatAM Cartoon.
5. Valdemar
6. Girl Genius (Frosty) "The Prince" - His name is Gilgamesh Wulfenbach, not Wolfgang, but it's close enough. Gil is an awesome character; the son of the Baron, but wiling to defy his father to get what he wants, but he's still got a soft spot. He really started off as a jerk and, truth be told, I didn't really like him much until the last few story arcs when he quickly became my favorite.
7. War of the Flowers
8. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
9. His Dark Materials
10. Incarnations of Immortality
11. La Cosa Nostra (the comic > See Here)
12. Final Fantasy VII (Striker) Yuffie - Again, the character with questionable morals. :p Yuffie is spunky and optomistic which is a nice change of pace from the rest of the characters in the game (which are all angsty, most of the time). Plus she might screw you over in the game, but it wasn't for personal gain, which is admirable (in a twisted kinda way).
13. Lord of the Rings
14. X/1999 (Striker) Yuzuriha Nekoi - She's fun and bright and optomistic. And she dares to fall in love with one of the Dragons of the Earth, even while she fights as one of the Dragons of the Heavens.
15. The Unicorn Chronicles
Several of these actually have 2 characters... ^^:;

So my new computer is all up and running! I'm still working on the transition over... I still have programs that I need to install and files that have to be pulled over from Shimmer, but, for the most part, Sedna is up and running the way that I'd like her to be. :D
Anyway...
frostynorth gave me five things, so I guess I'd better get off my butt and do those...
Anime
I really got into anime when I was in middle school. My first anime was Sailor Moon and it's still my favorite to this day. I haven't really followed much anime lately though. I think the last "new" anime I saw was Pretear, and that was several years ago when I was still in college. I've fallen off the bandwagon for the most part. It's not that big of a part of my life anymore. However, anime was one of the things that inspired me to write and draw and for that alone I will always love it. :)
Sonic the Hedgehog
Repeat! :p
Magic! Poof! *throws a handful of glitter*
Hmm. Not really sure what to say about this one...? o.O Well, I guess, generally, when I think of magic usually the first thing that comes to mind is fantasy novels. I've always had a fascination with systems of magic and mages in fantasy and I love that there are so many ways to make magic function. It's actually one of my favorite parts of world building when it comes to original stories. :)
Drawing
I wish I had more time to draw. Well, let me rephrase that, I wish I had more time to take my semi finished drawings and turn them into finished pieces. I still draw and sketch a lot, I just never get around to finishing anything. I draw a lot when I'm stressed out too, honestly. That's when I draw the most, I think. There's something calming about sketching/drawing, even if it's just filling up a page with junky little stick figure doodles.
Jake
My husband, the love of my life, currently food-coma-ing on the couch. :p All silliness aside, I love Jake. He's nerdy, like me, he loves computers, like me, likes food, like me, and generally puts up with all of my bullshit (a big plus). Somebody once said that he's like a boy-version of me... which is kinda true... 'cept he is about a zillion times more feminine in his actions than I will EVER be. o.o So really, I'm the man in the relationship and he's the woman. But whatever, it all works out. :p
Anyway...

Five Things
you comment and I give you 5 things I associate with you, then you write about them. My 5 things are provided by
zita_skyandano - Comment if you want some, then do it so I can comment and get 5 more things from you!
Computers
Man, computers. I love computers. I would seriously be lost without computers. *nodnod* I currently have four. Shimmer, my main desktop (soon to be retired), Polaris, my laptop, Trivia, my linux laptop that won't recognize the network card no matter what I do so I really don't use it at all, and Sedna, my new computer currently being assembled by my husband. :D All of my computers are named after my various Otaku Senshi *geek!* I remember when I got my first computer. I was in 2nd grade. It was a Packard Bell, running Windows 3.1. I still have the operating system install discs for that computer some where, seriously. The whole hard drive on that thing was like 800MB. It had a 2x CD-ROM (which was high end and fancy at the time). And I LOVED IT. I thought it was seriously the BEST thing that I could ever own.
Sonic the Hedgehog
Still my favorite video game series. Except the newest ones. I don't WANT to do crazy little puzzles and crap. I don't want the characters to TALK. I want simple, 2D side scrolling gaming. THAT'S IT. Which is why I have a zillion ROM hacks of Sonic 2 that I play often, because the only thing more fun than your favorite game is a remake of that game with new things and new levels and awesomeness. Of course, my love for Sonic didn't stop with video games. I own somewhere around 100 Sonic the Hedgehog comics, the one's by Archie. I stopped reading it around issue 80 because I didn't like where the storyline was going. I also own both seasons of the SatAM cartoon on DVD. :D I want to get the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog too, but I haven't had a chance to even see if it's available on DVD or not. As a side note, if you know of any place that's got GOOD SatAM based fanfic, leave the link and I'll love you forever. XD
Band Trips
"WITH MY SCISSORS?!?!"
Anyways... Band Trips are one of those things I actually miss about High School. Going to Disney was probably the best band trip. I have so many great memories from those trips. I still have pictures from the first Disney trip around here somewhere...

There's me, on the bus on the way down? Perhaps. Maybe just heading somewhere. I had foofy hair then. :p
Jewelry
Jewelry is my newest love. I am completely in love with jewelry making. I love weaving chain, stringing beads, and designing things. I love selling them too. I've done a few pieces on commission now too, which feels great. :D There's some so satisfying with completing something and then having someone want to buy it. However, it's difficult to part with a lot of the pieces that I make.
Art
Something that I wish I did more of. Mostly at the moment it's that I don't have a working enough comptuer to work on anything, since I mostly do CG. I did buy a bunch of new colored pencils recently, so I'm totally looking forward to doing some traditional art again. Of course, that all has to wait until I get my desk reorganized so that I have room to work.

So, here's my band's album cover...

I thought it was pretty cool. I got an Emerson quote. <3
I think my band would be some kind of bumble gum pop/hard rock fusion band. Or something
So... do it if you feel like it. The end!

Ugh. So my computer is working on dying. It's rebooting itself like crazy, making strange noises, and accessing the HD is getting slower and harder. I've gotten everything I wanted backed up to DVD. So sad.
I had a valentine's day picture I wanted to finish BEFORE valentine's day, but that's not happening because running photoshop causes all sorts of problems at the moment. x.x
So I'm working on buying parts for a new computer. My new processor and power supply will arrive tomorrow. I'll order more when I get paid on Friday.
So, if you don't see me around much, it's because 1) computer is dying and 2) I acquired new video games and I'm playing them. So there. :p

So there was a time when I actually used to update this thing. Now I can scroll down my recent page and see a year and a half in one shot. Lame.
I made my journal all full of hearts and valentines stuff. It'll stay until it annoys me (I give it about two weeks, unless I'm feeling uber lazy).
I wish I had interesting things to post. I don't. Mostly I work and come home and do nothing. Maybe play video games. I've got some art and writing projects that I'm going to attempt to work on during this year. Hopefully I won't be as lazy as I normally am and I'll actually DO something with them.
Don't hold your breath or anything.
My computer is making me mad. It refused to see the scanner earlier (despite the fact that it's an all-in-one and I printed with it only minutes before that). And it's doing some crazy thing with the network card/cable. It keeps going "Not connected" then "Connected". It doesn't seem to really impact what I'm working on. Mostly it's really annoying. Plus it's slow. And the hard drive is nearly filled on it. Well, both hard drives are nearly filled.
I need a new computer ;.;

Your dominant hues are blue and magenta. You're the one who goes to all the parties but doesn't quite fit in at every one... you know what you want, but are afraid of what the world might think of it. You're a little different and that's okay with them, and if you're smart it's okay with you too. Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right. Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up. |

I don't appreciate it when people lie to me.
I was told I would have "night hours".
Then today I'm told that there aren't any night hours.
I'm told I'll be taking care of inbound calls.
Then I find out I'll be doing TELEMARKETING.
FAIL.

I'm uber-bad at updating, I know.
I finally feel like the apartment is home. I'd have pictures, but the batteries in the camera are dead and I can't find the charger for them. So, eventually. ^^;
I start my new job on Monday. I'm kinda excited, kinda nervous. For the first two weeks it will be a noon to 8PM shift while I train and then, after that, it hopefully, will be a third shift. I know it sounds strange to WANT a third shift, but it's better than second shift. At least with third shift I'll see my husband in the evening.
The job is full time, which makes me happy. It's call center stuff. I'm hoping the nightshift might be less busy too, but I really don't know. Oh well, it's a job for now and nobody said I have to do this for the rest of my life. It's something for now.
The extra money will be nice. While we aren't doing bad, things are tight. The extra income will help pay down the credit cards and let us do some extra fun things on occasion.
I've been working on my web site. I know I haven't updated since October of last year, but I've been incredibly busy. Then I didn't have access to the files since they were on my desktop which wasn't set up because I didn't have a desk. Now I have it set up again and I can start working on it again. I'm also working on a major overhaul of Untold Stories. The site is actually coded and I'm just working on the content now. That's actually taking LONGER than the coding took and the coding was a bitch.
I've been taking commissions over on my deviantArt page but I'm not getting too much interest. Oh well. It's nice to make a few dollars.
I've been making a bunch of jewelry too lately. But, again, it'll have to wait until I locate the battery charger before I get any pictures. >.< But I'm enjoying it. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I'm hoping that after a few things have been paid down and a few things still needed around the apartment are acquired that I can save up like $400 to buy a whole TON of new chainmail and beads. My chain supplies are getting pretty low. I've only got a little bit of blue chain left and the green is nearly gone. The teal IS gone and so it the 16 guauge bright aluminum.
I've been trying to sell some of my pieces of ebay, but I'm not having much luck with that either.
Oh well. Maybe if I can make enough over the summer I can hit up a craft fair or the Street Fair this fall. That'd be good.
Just something to think about, I guess.
Also, I think I should make some new LJ icons. These are starting to bore me. :/

Things are coming along with the apartment. It's beginning to look less like a mess and more like a home. Except for the living room. That's a freaking disaster. :p
We acquired a kitchen table this last weekend, so now we have a place to eat instead of sitting on the couch. I made tacos to celebrate. :D We figured that we can buy a piece of furniture each paycheck, so in two weeks I can get a new computer desk! *joy* Until then Shimmer sits lonely like in the living room while Polaris gets all the computer lovings. ^^; And poor Trivia hasn't even made it out of her bag.
At some point, also, my wireless router decided that it did want to work and I randomly discovered one morning that Polaris had connected wirelessly. So, hooray for that! That's $70 less that we have to spend to get a new one.
On Wednesday we get to pick up Max, the cat that Jake's coworker is giving us because she can't take him to her new apartment. So the goal is to be finished with this mess by then. I'm hoping that I can paint the remaining wall tonight/tomorrow so that I'm not trying to paint with a cat running about. :p We'll see how this goes.
Once things are cleaned up I really will take pictures. I mean, do you really want to see my apartment full of boxes and such? ^^;;
